Mr. Wolter's hands-on experience encompasses strategic planning, operational reviews, crisis management, forensic analysis, expert witness assignments, specialty audits, due diligence and mergers and acquisitions. His project experience includes numerous engagements in systems selection, design and implementation of merchandising, financial, warehouse and store systems and analysis and profit improvement in the health care and educational fields.
Mr. Wolter has also provided retail, fulfillment, accounting, risk assessment and financial analysis and funding alternatives to the advisory boards of and to the Board of Directors of several start up and mezzanine businesses including those operating in the e-commerce and e-retailing industries.

- Engaged by a regional food retailer to manage the implementation of the financial systems components and train the staff to utilize a new $12MM systems implementation.
- Engaged by a large software support and consulting company with a Fortune 500 customer base, but with a large monthly negative cash flow due to excessive staffing, inadequate product and service pricing and inefficient customer focus. As acting CFO, he restructured and reduced staff, updated billing terms, established and enforced internal controls, scrubbed the financial records, began accurate monthly reporting, replaced senior management and negotiated terms with the IRS for payment of past due amounts. He achieved positive cash flow in 3 months and restored investor confidence to obtain $1 million of new equity investment.
- Engaged by a medium sized designer and importer of electronic gaming accessories with a Fortune 1000 customer base, substantial revenues, negative cash flows and minimal trade debt because of use of Letters of Credit for merchandise imports to improve their cash flow. In 60 days, he improved turn over of receivables, reduced inventory and negotiated expanded lending terms with lending bank. Their COO stated, "We wouldn't be here today without ACP!"
- Developed the financial criteria to maximize inventory investment for warehouses operated by the 2nd largest food retailer in the US as part of the design of a new purchasing system for warehouse purchases.
- Reduced inventory shortage results at a regional discounter from 3.9% to 2.1% of sales within one year through analysis of results to identify high risk activities and then focus the companys limited loss prevention budget dollars on those areas to maximize their return and accelerate results.
- Head of the financial team that implemented JDA and JDE at a medium sized retailer in 120 days, including testing, training and operations control.
- Served as the financial advisor to an electronics wholesaler operating in bankruptcy to develop the strategy to gain acceptance form the creditors for the sale of the assets to a competitor. The company's assets were successfully sold from bankruptcy and the creditors recovered over 72% of their outstanding debts within three months.
- A large retailer found its accounts payable department in gridlock because of rapid growth, weak systems and poor workflow. In three weeks, he analyzed the process and without systems support redesigned the workflow and changed the staff's job assignments resulting in accurate payments flowing to vendors. In two months the retailer was 95% current on all vendor payments.
- A Fortune 500 company was investigated for possible criminal violations of Federal Statutes based on alleged non-compliance with EPA requirements. He was hired by the company's outside counsel to document the company's compliance with the applicable statutes. Within two months, his team of five consultants manually compiled a database of over 124,000 data elements to document the company's compliance for the prior six years, along with providing hard copies of the actual records.
- Developed the actual cost records to support the development and implementation of a perpetual inventory system for repair parts for a cruise lines' fleet of ships. The database had to be developed from hard copy records on a last cost basis for subsequent entering into the new system. The entire database had over 100,000 data elements for 12 cruise ships and was subsequently successfully audited by the company's outside accounting firm without exception.
- Analyzed, documented and redesigned the workflow and internal controls over accounts payable processing for a large retailer. In the process, he recovered over $2.0MM in prior overpayments caused by missed discounts and allowances.
- As acting Chief Operating Officer of a $50 million sales specialty retailer, in three years increased sales by over 20% per year and earnings from a loss to operating income of 10% of sales through the application of analytical techniques to determine profitability of advertising, sales promotion and targeted investment in highest selling merchandise and implementing those conclusions on a priority basis.
- Lead the team preparing the operating plan of a large retailer after the completion of a massive acquisition. Identified significant weaknesses in their operating plan and provided alternative profit solutions. Senior management did not implement all of the recommended solutions and the company eventually slipped into bankruptcy.
- Analyzed, designed and assisted in the implementation of improvements in the procurement, accounts payable and payment systems of a large regional medical center to implement design and implementation flaws that were costing the center $40,000 per month in erroneous payments.
